Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In New York, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across New York run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around New York is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

It’s a cash only restaurant. They have an ATM in front if needed. The food was pretty tasty. The chicken satay was good. The roti was also huge. Most things are shareable as a group.

Definitely a great choice in the area with many options on the menu. Everything was classic and kind of like a general restaurant flavor but good. 🍜Shrimp soup noodles was delicious. The shrimp flavor was rich. Noodles were a little bit too soft. Taro pork belly was interesting. Both main ingredients were good but their tastes didnt necessarily merge with each other. 💛🧡Roti was good! The sauce came with it was delicious with some chicken in it.

My family and I came here for dinner and had a fantastic experience. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and comfortable, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal together. We ordered several dishes, but the beef rendang and Hainanese chicken were the clear standouts. The beef rendang was incredibly tender and packed with rich flavor, while the Hainanese chicken was perfectly cooked, juicy, and paired wonderfully with the accompanying sauces. What really impressed me was how each dish had a delicious tangy umami flavor, and all of the sauces complemented each other beautifully without overpowering the food. Every bite felt balanced and thoughtfully prepared. I would highly recommend coming here. Great food, great atmosphere, and a memorable dining experience overall. We'll definitely be back!

Great place with great food. This place is a staple to visit in Chinatown and awesome prices. My friends and I ordered staples like the hainanese chicken and roti and ordered new dishes like the tom yum soup with clams and shrimp with eggplant Everything was super delicious and worth coming back to. Service was quick and nice and ambiance can get lively especially on weekends. Amazing experience 10/10

Great Malaysian food with great flavor and prices! Avoid getting seated at the two tables next to the entrance window - it was really cold :’) Would def come back tho With tip, it was $25 for 3 people. - Roti canai: 11/10, the roti was SO crispy (ASMR level). The curry dipping sauce was so flavorful. MUST GET - Beef rendang: 11/10, fav dish. So flavorful, and the beef was so tender. MUST GET - Pineapple fried rice: 8/10, I’m not usually a fan of getting fried rice, esp at restaurants, but this was surprisingly so good!! There could be more pineapple tho. Would get it again! - Hainanese chicken (1/2): 7/10, not sure I’m the biggest fan, but my friends really liked it. I didn’t expect there to be cartilage but there was some. The 1/2 portion was very large for 3 people, could’ve gotten 1/4. The sauce it came with was okay *Note: They’re cash only
